We are often travelling about and then suddenly notice, ugh, oh!, speed limits have changed in our local environment. One of the joys about also coming from metric areas as New Zealand and Australia, is that visiting the USA can be entertaining, when everything is in mph, not kph! Different areas, such as school zones, CBD areas and areas between residential and motorways can often change, without notice! We often see 70/80km/h zones change into 60/70km/h zones across NZ - much to the delight of the Police! To avoid fines - always double-check signs when travelling across the country, or overseas, and the conversions!
